Watsup guys! It's 12:10 just past midnight here and a recap of today and yesterday. With vacation bible school, the kids were fun yesterday making crafts and what not, then the girls actually had like a spa day for the women...unknown to them and us was that most of them work in a beauty type shop in their off time. So they might have had concerns over some stuff they were doing. Today we took the kids to the aquarium and saw lots of cool fish and penguins otters snakes and almost everything. Again I can't put pics up here so the few I have will go in Facebook. In the evening we split up the women went with Annie and I went with Jeff. We went to their version of life groups which was all in Thai literally no translation at all haha. Then we walked around the red light district and he showed me exactly what they are fighting against. Some of the girls were obvious and some just looked like regular people but they all tried to get your attention either by speaking English or physically touching you as you walk by. He took me into a hotel run by the Uzbek mafia where allot of trafficking goes on and we actually saw a transaction taking place in the lobby, and then he took me downstairs to see a Turkish bathhouse where literally women are lined up in what is like a glass store front and on display. Jeff said that the girls had numbers and all the guys have to do is see what they want and ordered a number. Each girl is a number there. Thankfully the time and day we went he said it wasn't busy so there wasn't much going on because to be honest I didn't really wanna see it. It's one thing to know it goes on and to say a simple 15 second prayer but after seeing the way Jeff's ministry empowers and builds up the women and then seeing where they come from and the girls that are still in it, you can't just say a simple prayer...the conscious won't rest...at least I hope it wouldn't. Also just a side note I found out the reason we are doing Vacation bible school is because during the school year the kids go back to the country with their grandparents due to financial burdens and also because the grandparents receive $ from the parents and don't wanna give that up. So the only time the kids would get to know about Jesus is through vacation Bible School. Kinda makes me wanna try harder. Anyway that's all for today I'll see you tommorrow.
